DIY or Call Us?

BFT access control components run on low voltage, but they connect to a control board that switches 120V or 240V to the gate motor. The low-voltage side is touch-safe. The cabinet where that low voltage meets the mains is not. If you’re comfortable with a multimeter, you can safely check the keypad’s incoming voltage at the wire terminals (should be 12 to 24V DC depending on your model), but we tell every Garden Grove homeowner the same thing about opening a BFT control cabinet: if you don’t know where the mains terminals are before you open it, don’t open it.
