The compatibility gotcha with FAAC is that the keypad wiring and logic changed between the older 455D boards and the newer E024U and E145 control boards, so a keypad that worked on a 2006 swing gate will not necessarily talk to a 2018 slide gate, even though both carry FAAC badges. • The keypad beeps, the gate starts, then reverses or stops partway. This is less likely the keypad and more likely a limit switch or safety edge issue, but the keypad is often where the homeowner notices it first. We test the keypad output separately before assuming the entry station is the problem, because replacing a good keypad never fixed a bad gate.
